How do I accept credit cards?

We integrate PayPal into your website in order to accept credit cards. If you do not have a PayPal account then please click here to sign up today. We would recommend setting up a business PayPal account however you can start off with a personal account and upgrade later.

Keep in mind, payments go directly to you and you are responsible to ship our your membership.

Do you offer training and if so is it recorded?

Yes, we conduct conferences on Thursday for potential distributors and Tuesday for registered distributors. 

We attempt to record every call, if you missed the call and you are a registered distributor you can log into your back office to listen to the recordings.

Are there any additional costs after I make my initial investment to become a distributor?

The only extra costs are optional. i.e. if you want upgrade to paid website, marketing materials, development or creative. There are not any additional mandatory costs, everything is optional.

Do I need paypal?

Do I need my own domain name?

We will provide you with an extension off our domain. 
Example: www.hotelsetc.us/111  If you do purchase your own domain, then you can log into your domain back end and simply do a forwarding so when someone visits your domain they will redirect to the site we provide you with. If you are having issues with forwarding your domain please call your domain provider, however it is typically very easy to forward the domain to your site.

What name do I put on my website?

If you do not have a business license and or business checking account then we would recommend having your name on your website. This will insure that you will be able to cash money orders.

How much do I sell Hotels Etc memberships for?

Hotels Etc. offers an annual and lifetime membership card. If you are selling your memberships online then you must sell the lifetime for $995 and the annual for $99.00. If you are selling them offline you can determine your own price.

Can I print marketing materials or do I have to purchase them through Hotels Etc.?

If it is available in the distributor shopping cart then you must purchase through our shopping cart. If we do not have what you are looking for email [email protected] as we might have it on our server. Keep in mind, Hotels Etc. is a registered trademark, if you print materials with our logo or name then the corporate office has to approve the proof before you print.

What types of training can I get?

Hotels Etc. offers training via phone conference or webinar. Conference details are typically sent out Monday. We want you to succeed, if you have questions or need to speak to a trainer then schedule on one of our calendars.  Keep in mind, we do not succeed unless you succeed so it is in our best interest to provide you with unlimited free training.

Hotels Etc. does not offer refunds of any kind on distributor kits, however we guarantee our product that it is professional, legal and you can make huge profits selling them. When a customer places an order through my website, do I fulfill the order or does Hotels Etc.? What if I do not have a supply of memberships on hand? Thank You, Karen

You have to fulfill the orders. Once someone makes a purchase through your website you will receive an email from paypal. Simply insert the membership card inside the welcome member package and mail it to your customer. If you do not have enough memberships on had, give us a call, order more and we will overnight them to you.

I am a former distributor when Keith owned the company. I still have about 90 of the old directories with membership cards on the back page. Are these no longer valid? Do I need to rejoin as a new distributor? Will the cost be less, since I am still a distributor? Did I hear on the conference call that the cost will be increasing soon? Do you have a points system set up? Like frequent flyer miles? Or like Hotel Reward points?

Yes we do. As a Hotels Etc. Member. Every time you make a reservation. Whether it be for a Hotel, Car Rental, Cruise etc. You get a Reward Credit, that is matched dollar for dollar. So you earn Reward Credits in your account. Over time the Credits will add up and you have the potential to get Free Travel or Entertainment. So instead paying Cash or Credit for your reservation. You can use your Reward Credits. How cool is that!

How can I assure that no other Distributors sell to my customer?

   If the client is already your member then they will renew through you. The world is a big place so the odds of another distributor taking your customer is very rare.  Keep a database of your customers and be sure to communicate with them on a regular basis.

If someone pays me with a Credit Card or Check, but they don't use my website to make the payment. Who do they sign the check to, or make the Credit Card payment to?

If you are selling directly to the end user they can pay you with a check or money order. They would make the check out to your business name. If you do not have a business name they need to make the check out to your personally so you can deposit it.

If you are selling offline and they want to pay with a credit card then you will need to have a merchant account or you can pull out your phone visit your website and go through the process like an online order.

What is the difference between white label and distributorship?

White label means you receive an API from Hotels Etc. and you install it within your members area on your website. When someone logs in through your website they they will have access to the booking engine. This set up makes it look like the discounts are yours, not ours.. You have to manage your entire front end of your website including hosting, design, members, membership cost, collections, customer service and etc.

If you do not have a website, we can build one for you however the price varies based on the website being created.. Typically around $1000 

We manage everything on the back end. I.E booking engine, inventory, reservations, cancellations and post reservation phone support.  

Distributors, You  purchase our annual membership cards at wholesale and resell them to the public or businesses and keep 100% of the profit. www.hotelsetc.com/go

We provide you with a website to resell membership cards, when someone purchases they purchase through your website and the funds go to your paypal account. You are responsible for mailing on the membership card. If they purchase through your website then you will receive a payment every 12 months unless they cancel. Once a customer renews you will have to ship out another membership card so they can update their account for another year.

You say you have the best discounts on Travel on the internet.. How do I know this? Why can't I see your prices when I visit the website?

 There is a law known as Rate Parity which is a legal agreement between hotel and OTA providing the same rates for the same room across all distribution channels. The Rate parity laws prohibits companies like Hotels Etc. to display wholesale net rates unless you are a paid member. Hotels Etc. is considered a CUG program (closed user group) which means we are allow to offer discounts to our members unlike public sites. We beat public rates by up to 75% off.

I live outside of the United States. What is the cost for shipping International?

 Shipping rates vary based on the country you live in. After you place your order for your distributor package our shipping department will get a quote and pass the cost directly onto you. We do not make profit on shipping internationally. If you have a shipping carrier that is more affordable for you, let our shipping know and we will use yours.
